Hiba Alyawer (M.A., 2000) is a senior consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton in Tampa. She will complete her doctorate of business administration degree from Argosy University in 2007

Teresa Slater Amin (2000) works for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, in community relations. She wrote a column for the St. Petersburg Times on safety and law enforcement issues for a short time and is currently pregnant with her first child.

Melanie Ave (M.A., 2000) is a reporter at the St. Petersburg Times.

George J. Barry III (2000) graduated from Brooklyn Law School in June, 2003. He is the father of one child and is studying for the New Jersey bar examination.

Lutrecia Nicole Borders (2000) is an interactive system developer for Northrop Grumman in Washington, D.C.

Kimberly Broder (2000) is the in-house copy writer at Kreating, LLC in Weston. Prior to her position at Kreating, she was the print manager at Zimmerman Advertising in Fort Lauderdale for two years.

Rachael Lee Coleman (2000) is growth and development reporter for Florida Today in Melbourne.

Jennifer Evans (2000) is an account services representative for Harman/Hettig Marketing in Clearwater.

Amber Dawn Enrille (2000) died in July 2005, after a long illness. She worked for Bay News 9 after graduation.

Natalie Nichols Gillespie (M.A., 2000) is a Pinellas County-based free-lance writer, editor and author for 10 years. She received an Angel Award for work on a "Café Video" for Praise TV, has been a judge for the Christy fiction awards, and is music editor for Christian Retailing Magazine.

Erin Griffin (2000) is a Web copywriter for the Home Shopping Network in St. Petersburg.

Pamela Gross (2000) is the consumer marketing supervisor for Watkins Glen International and International Speedway. She earned her master’s degree in sport management for North Carolina State University in 2003.

Carlos Guardascione (2000) is a copywriter for Paradigm Communications in Tampa.

Sarah Haassis (2000) is an account executive for Gotham Inc. in New York City.

Brinson Harris (M.A., 2000) is president of Virtual Television in Tampa.

Patricia Coughlin Higgins (2000) owns The Flourishing Business in Atlanta. Her company provides capital and consulting for small to mid-size retail, service and e-commerce companies. Previously she was an associate producer at CNN in Atlanta. After graduation, she free-lanced for the Tampa Tribune and spent a summer in Scotland studying and upon her return to the U.S., was hired by CNN. She earned a master’s degree in international affairs from Georgia Tech University in 2005.

Eve Hosley-Moore (2000) is a freelance writer, editor and graphic artist based in New Port Richey. Ten days after graduation she became a staff writer for the Suncoast newspapers, working her way up to a feature writing position. She resigned after two years to freelance for the St. Petersburg Times. She has a master’s degree from USF in liberal arts and American studies.

Keith Howe (2000) is Hillsborough County teacher who is completing a master’s degree in social science education at USF.

Tim Howe (2000) is a producer for Time Warner/Staten Island Cable in New York City. He writes, directs and edits commercials.

Joe Humphrey (2000) is a journalism teacher at Hillsborough High School and the adviser to an award-winning student newspaper. Previously he was a reporter for the Tampa Tribune.

Tina James (2000) is the community relations manager for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Previously she was communications manager for United Arts of Central Florida. Prior to working for United Arts, she worked for Nickelodeon Games and Sports (GAS) and also for the Orlando Magic (NBA) for two years.

Kelly Bacon Kendrick (2000) lives in North Port.

Josie K. Koler (2000) is the Key West bureau chief for her family-owned-and-operated company, “The Weekly Newspapers.” After an internship with WTSP, the CBS television affiliate in Tampa, she began her on-air career as the morning and noon anchor with WHIZ, the NBC affiliate in Zanesville, Ohio. She also hosted a local cooking show. Her next move took her to Sioux City, Iowa, for a morning show anchor position with CBS affiliate KMEG. She was promoted to primary anchor and spent two years writing and producing the 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts before being asked to relaunch a CBS affiliate, KGAN, across the state in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In conjunction with the network unveiling Katie Couric as the new CBS Evening News anchor, she took over the reigns at the affiliate in Cedar Rapids as the 6 and 10 p.m. evening news anchor. Highlights of her career include covering the first in the nation Iowa Caucuses, and numerous franchise reports: "Consumer Watch," "Day Tripper with Josie Koler," "Does it Work?," "Scholarshares," "Josie Koler's Your Life...Your Way," and "Cooking with Chef Rocco Valentino at the Inn at Eaglesticks." She was recognized for her public affairs reporting by the Iowa Broadcast News Association for an in-depth series she presented called "Single Mom, Disabled Child." In addition she earned two Telly Awards for "The Celebration of Freedom," a public service show covering the 4th of July Celebration live from May's Island in 2006 and 2007. Recently, she worked for WNWO, an NBC affiliate in Toledo, Ohio, before deciding to join her brother, Jason Koler, owner and editor of The Weekly Newspapers in the Florida Keys.

Christine Lichtenstein (2000) is a sales representative for the Sarasota Herald Tribune.

Randall Lo (2000) is an associate strategy director at Universal McCann in New York City. He oversees the Johnson & Johnson account, which is one of the agency’s biggest clients. Universal McCann is a global media agency with 72 offices in 44 countries and more than 2,800 employees.

Michelle White Malcolm (M.A., 2000) works for the Gardner, Mass., office of Experience Works, a national nonprofit organization that helps low-income, older persons get training and find jobs.

Nigel Malcolm (M.A., 2000) is an assistant professor of communication at Keene State College in Keene, N.H. He finished his doctorate in communication from USF in 2005.

Laura Miller ( 2000) works in the news department of WFLA television in Tampa.

Rob Murray (2000) is a New York City-based television program editor. He has been an associate producer, segment producer or editor for many MTV productions since 2001.

Melanie Rhea (2000) produces, writes, shoots and edits local commercials for Time Warner cable's Pasco County production and advertising unit. In addition, she is in charge of the cable operation's Pasco public and government access studio production and programming.

Heather Robertson (2000) is currently a student at Emerson College in Massachusetts. Prior to going back to school, she worked for Reed Elsevier Publishing and the Brockton Enterprise.

Jillianne Rondinone (2000) is a creative associate and copywriter in Tampa at United Landmark Associates, a strategic marketing and advertising agency for the real estate industry. She previously was a copywriter, creative developer and client service representative for Chenoweth and Faulkner Advertising in Tampa.

Heather Scott (2000) is the director of communications and marketing for the Realtor Association of Greater Fort Lauderdale.

Kristen Shahen (2000) is a media relations specialist for a technical high school for adults and a magnet high school near Orlando.

Elizabeth Hill Turner (2000) is a major accounts manager at the Miami Herald. Prior to her position at the Herald, she worked for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as an account executive.

Charity Cosby Arthur (2001) is a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office community resource officer and writes a column for the Tampa Tribune.

Stacey Crollick Atiyeh (2001) is a marketing coordinator for ISPE in Tampa.

Greg Brostowicz (2001) is a senior public relations representative for Pratt and Whitney Space Propulsion in Jupiter.

Heather Brewer Burton (M.A., 2001) is director of public relations for Samaritan Health Services in western Oregon. She is married to a former USF assistant football coach.

Danielle Chandonnet (2001) is the marketing and business development director for the City of Mount Dora Community Redevelopment Agency. She recently was honored with the City of Mount Dora’s annual “Above and Beyond” award. Her work requires her to serve in varied capacities including marketing, event coordination, public and community relations, media relations, advertising, photography, publication design, survey and market research, and most recently--grant writing and fundraising. Chandonnet is credited with writing the city’s first Visual Identity Standards and Communications Style Guide--a reference manual that serves to ensure the city’s image and message are consistent, organized, attractive and professional throughout all publications and media. Most recently, Chandonnet has been charged with the task of coordinating a $1 million fundraising campaign that will serve to renovate a cornerstone structure in the city: the Mount Dora Community Building. In line with this task, Chandonnet organized a successful campaign kickoff event, produced a short film, coordinated numerous direct mail campaigns, wrote several grants, managed monthly steering committee meetings and maintained a full schedule of public speaking events. She earned her master of public administration degree with honors from Troy University in 2006.

Jacqueline Chandonnet (2001) is a senior associate at Hillary Lyons Associates in Dimondale, Mich., and travels to numerous healthcare facilities throughout the Midwest implementing fundraising programs. She is a member of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy and on occasion teaches at the Aspen Academy for Healthcare Philanthropy. Chandonnet spent several years as the main news anchorwoman and reporter for WLUC-TV, the NBC affiliate in Negaunee, Mich. She received numerous broadcasting awards for her reporting in Upper Michigan. In 2005, Chandonnet completed a two-year independent project, co-producing a feature-length historical documentary film, “The Enemy in our Midst: Nazi Prisoner of War Camps in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.” The film won the Award of Merit, the highest honor given by the Michigan Historical Society, for its contribution to the appreciation and understanding of Michigan history. The film tells the story of the more than 1,100 prisoners of war who were housed at five Upper Peninsula camps from 1944 to 1946. Chandonnet then began a career in the field of healthcare philanthropy. She served as foundation executive director at Bell Hospital in Ishpeming, Mich., where she established a sustainable philanthropy program and led a successful campaign raising $5 million for the construction of a new facility in just one year. She also has completed a master of public administration degree with honors from Northern Michigan University.

Suzanna Cimato (2001) is an editor for Spectrum Productions in Tampa.

Jennifer L. Conway (2001) is the associate editor at Construction Equipment in Fort Washington, Pa. Prior to her position as associate editor, she had a temporary job in human resources.

Chris Curry (M.A., 2001) is a Sarasota Herald-Tribune reporter.

Kimberly Czabaj (2001) is an administrator for the Bailey Family Foundation in Tampa. The foundation provides scholarships to high school and college students.

Alicia DeFonzo (2001) is a program assistant for the School of Mass Communications.

Jennifer Dorna (2001) works at the Manor Vail Resort and Spa in Vail, Colo. She earned her master’s degree in management specialization of sports management from the University of Denver in 2002.

Danielle Eadens (2001) is a teacher of exceptional student education at Yearbook Azalea Middle School in Pinellas County. She earned her master’s degree in special education, with an emphasis on varying exceptionalities, from USF in 2003 and is beginning to work on her doctorate in interdisciplinary education, combining studies in special education, criminology and mass communications at USF

Patricia Kim (2001) is a media relations coordinator at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute on the USF campus. Previously she was a health and fitness reporter and a copy editor for the Tampa Tribune.

Michael LaBarge (2001) is a tape operator for Starz Entertainment, a programming subsidiary of Liberty Media. He is based in Meridian, Colo.

Jennifer Lenhart (2001) is a self-employed contract developer. She earned her master’s degree, with concentrations in marketing and international business from USF in 2003.

Jonathan Lippe (2001) is the author of “I Remember Choosing My Life: Charades and Parades,” a book published by Xlibris.Com in 2002. He also wrote end-of-chapter exercises and summaries for a computer textbook entitled “Using Information Technology.” Lippe earned the MCSE Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer credential and lives in Pembroke Pines.

John Mudd (2001) publishes and edits Tampa Bay’s Inside Real Estate Journal and Hundred Acres on the Web. His primary business is real estate sales and purchases, but he uses public relations tools to assist clients and bolster sales.

Ewa Dworakowski Roman (2001) is a reporter and producer with WHP television, the CBS affiliate in Harrisburg, Pa., which is the nation’s 41st largest market. She previously was a reporter and anchor for WETM in Elmira, N.Y. She founded the RTNDA chapter at USF.

Philip Berman (2002) is a senior producer at KJRH television in Tulsa, Okla. He previously was a producer at WWSB television in Sarasota, and was the executive producer at WXVT television in Greenville, Miss.

Laura Bynum (M.A., 2002) relocated in July 2003 to Nebraska where she now serves as the public relations manager for the Omaha Symphony. While in Tampa, she was the public relations coordinator for Jim Walter Homebuilding Group, a 91-market company that forms the largest subsidiary of Walter Industries, a $2 billion U.S. company.

Amanda C. Collins (2003) is an employee of WWSB television in Tampa.

Terra Hall (2007) is a reporter and weather forecaster for KOLN/KGIN, which are Gray Television Group stations in Lincoln, Neb. This position is split equally between news reporting and on-air weather casting duties covering an area the size of Virginia. She will report, write, shoot, edit, anchor, produce, plan, web post, and generate stories. She graduated from the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University in New York City in May 2008 and previously was an associate producer at CNN in New York. She also will begin studying for a meteorology degree from Mississippi State University through the university’s distance learning program.

Christopher Twohig (2008) is a news and sports reporter for KMOT television, the NBC affiliate in Minot, N.D. He splits his time equally between news and sports with the ability to do live shots for this Meyer Broadcasting Company station in western North Dakota. KMOT transmits to viewers in Ward, Pierce, Renville, Bottineau, Burke, Mountrail and Rolette counties in North Dakota and even to parts of Canada. The station is home to exclusive live coverage of state high school football, hockey and basketball championships held twice a year from different sports arenas throughout North Dakota. KMOT is part of a group of television stations in western North Dakota, including KFYR in Bismarck, KUMV in Williston and KQCD in Dickinson and also is affiliated with KVLY in Fargo and Grand Forks. This statewide network of NBC stations allows KMOT to bring its viewers local news coverage from every corner of the state and allows Twohig to do live shots and reports that are seen throughout the region.
